506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, with subsequent amendments and additions:
Art.4 -Storing information or obtaining access to information stored in the terminal equipment of a subscriber or user is permitted only if the following conditions are cumulatively met: the subscriber or user concerned has given his/her consent; the subscriber or user concerned has been provided, prior to giving his/her consent, in accordance with the provisions of art. 12 of Law no. 677/2001, as subsequently amended and supplemented, clear and complete information which: is set out in easily understandable language and is easily accessible to the subscriber or user; includes indications as to the purpose of processing the information stored by the subscriber or user or the information to which he/she has access.
